You will drive through picturesque hills and valleys and get a close-up glimpse of some of the highest mountains in the world on the journey from Lucknow to Mount Kailash. Kailash Mansarovar yatra from Lucknow is the fastest and most convenient among all the packages. It’s less time-consuming and reduces the time of extra travel to Kathmandu. However, this package is available to only Indian passport holders as NRI’s have to arrive in Kathmandu to apply for a Tibet visa.

Day 1: Pickup from Lucknow. Nepalgunj arrival

Pick from Lucknow. Arrival at Nepalgunj. Transfer to Hotel in Nepalgunj OR drive to Surkhet (2hrs) and stay at Surkhet based on situation.
Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Fly Nepalgunj – Simikot (2900m) – Overnight in Simikot

Early morning flight Nepalgunj to Simikot (1hr). Rest day at Simikot.

The flight between Nepalgunj to Simikot is very complicated part of this trip as the operation of those small aircrafts completely depends on the weather conditions. The weather keeps changing frequently on this route and causes short or long flight delays to and from Simikot.

We shall reach Nepalgunj airport early in the morning as directed by the guide to ensure that we can board the earliest possible flight to Simikot. On reaching Simikot our representative will meet you at the airport and will take care of your checked in luggage. Rest of the time will be free at Simikot to adjust with the weather conditions.

Stay in a guesthouse in dormitory style. If weather permits, we may take further helicopter trip to Hilsa today itself.
Meals: Breakfast at Nepalgunj / Simikot, Lunch at Hilsa, Dinner at Taklakot

Day 3: Heli to Hilsa (3700m) & Drive to Taklakot (3900m) – Overnight in Taklakot

Morning – Take Helicopter to Hilsa (20 min – 12kg weight limit) & wait for other members to arrive at Hilsa (since it is a group visa, and everyone have to enter Tibet side in one group)
Afternoon – From Hilsa drive to Purang border to Taklakot (27 km) and stay at hotel. We will stay overnight at Taklakot. (On the way we have to pass up to 3 Checkpoints where checking might take up to 1 hr in each post)

Day 4: At Taklakot (3900m) – Rest Day – Overnight in Taklakot

All Day – Entire day free for Acclimatization

Day 5: Drive to Manasarovar Lake (4550m) – Overnight in Mansarovar

After Breakfast – Drive towards Mansarovar Lake (95 km). On the way you will have to pass the first checkpoint. Then after driving for 70 kms from Taklakot we will reach Rakshas Tal. On the right of Rakshas Tal you will see Gurla Mandhata Parvat & first view of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar lake. Drive from Rakshas Tal to Manasarovar Lake (25 km).

Start Parikrama of Manasarovar Lake (90 km – 3hr by bus). Perform Puja.

Day 6: 1st Day of Parikrama – Drive to Darchen (4650m) & Yama Dwar & Trek to Diraphuk (4880m) – Overnight in Diraphuk

After Breakfast – Drive to Darchen (35 km – 1 hr) and Yama Dwar (8 km) – the starting point for Kora. We will trek to Diraphuk for 14 km. You will visit the North face of Mt. Kailash and touching the feet of Mt. Kailash (Charan Sparsha). Travelers who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Mt. Kailash can go back to Darchen wait for rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.
Meals: Breakfast at Mansarovar, Lunch & Dinner on the way during Parikrama
Hotel: Mud house on the way during Parikrama or Stay in Dormitory Guest House at Darchen
NOTE: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will still be waiting at Darchen (4650m)

Day 7: 2nd Day of Parikrama – On to Zuthulpuk (4670m) via Trek to Dolma La Pass (5700m) – Overnight in Zuthulpuk

After Breakfast – Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass (8 km). About 3 kms before reaching Dolma La Pass is steep hill and quite difficult to walk. Also descending from Dolma La Pass is the same for upto 3 km. While descending you can see Gaurikund on the right. After walking for about 2 – 3 hrs we will reach Phedi. After some rest we will start trek to Zuthulpuk (12 km trek for 6 hours).

Hotel: Stay at the Mud House (Zuthulphuk)
NOTE: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will still be waiting at Darchen

Day 8: 3rd Day of Parikrama – Trek to Darchen – Drive to Hilsa via Taklakot – Overnight in Hilsa / Simikot

After Breakfast – After short easy Trek (8 km – 3 hrs), we will reach our bus pick up point. Then drive to Darchen (3 kms) and merge with other members who were waiting. From there drive to Hilsa (also we will take helicopter to Simikot based on situation)

Hotel: Guest House

Day 9: Fly to Nepalgunj – Transfer to Lucknow

Fly to Simikot. Fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj / Surkhet and proceed to Lucknow.

  • Lucknow to Nepalgunj and back transfer by air-conditioned vehicle
  • 01-night stay in a 4-star equivalent hotel in Nepalgunj on sharing basis

    4. Emergency medical expenses in the event of hospitalization
    5. Extra expense for additional necessary permissions or visa splitting charges and all additional services in the event of change in tour plan by the traveler before or during the yatra
    6. Urgent visa fee if required
    7. All additional expense for returning early from the trip due to any personal reason
    8. Any and all additional expense or increase in cost of any trip item or service due to sudden hike in permit fee, visa charges, flight fares, hotel prices or price for other trip services by concerned authorities or flight companies or hotel owners or vendors etc. or due to any other reason or situation which is beyond our control
    9. Our services also does not include any other additional expense incurred before or during the trip due to any unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, weather conditions, natural disaster, act of God, technical failure, flight delay or cancelation, delay by authorities in issuing permits or entry visa, strikes, riots, political closures, not opening of the borders due to lockdown situation or any other reason, war situation, and/or any other situation or circumstances which are beyond our control
    10. Any service/s which is not mentioned in our above 'list of package cost inclusions' does not fall under the liability of the Company and the same will be paid by the traveler only in advance or at the time of consuming the service, as may be the requirement of the case
