Muktinath is one of the sacred places of worship for the Hindus in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal. Known for both Hindus and Buddhist’s, this shrine attracts pilgrims during the months of May-November. The famous temple of Lord Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 kms northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meter.

Muktinath is one of the sacred places of worship for the Hindus in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal. Known for both Hindus and Buddhist’s, this shrine attracts pilgrims during the months of May-November.
The famous temple of Lord Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 kms northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meter.
The main shrine is a pagoda shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This is one of the 106th sacred Muktichhetra (assured of salvation) of 108 sacred places of Vaishnavs, where Lord Vishnu got free from the curse of Sati.
Muktinath is the most sacred Hindu site in Nepal after the temple of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. Hindu pilgrims come here to bathe in the 108 water spouts shaped as cows’ heads and Buddhists come here to pay homage at a shrine enclosing an eternal blue flame.
Pilgrims take bath in holy water spouts to purify their bodies before visiting the main Temple for worship.
Here is a largest Shaligram. Here is also a Jwaladevi, a divine flame is continuously burning since thousands of year.
Day 1: Arrival in Gorakhpur and Drive to Sunauli
We will receive you at Gorakhpur and drive to the India-Nepal border of Sunauli. We will rest at Sunauli and make necessary preparations. Overnight at hotel in Sunauli.
Day 2: Sunauli to Pokhara
After early morning breakfast, we will start our drive to the alluring city of Pokhara. We will change our buses after crossing the Nepali border and continue driving to Pokhara. After driving for approx. 6 hours, we will arrive at Pokhara, the guide will drop you at the hotel and you have a leisure evening around the Phewa Lakeside.
Day 3:Drive to Muktinath
Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast and drive to Jomsom. After some formalities at the checkpost, we will continue our drive to Jomsom. Jomsom is a town with backdrop formed of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Nilgiri. After our lunch, we will continue driving to the Muktinath Temple premises. Overnight at Muktinath.
Day 4: Darshan Muktinath and drive to Tatopani.
In the morning, we will darshan the Holy temple of Muktinath. We will offer our prayers and darshan, run along the 108 taps, spend some time at the temple premises and get back on our way to the town of Tatopani. Overnight at a hotel in Tatopani.
Day 5: Drive back to Pokhara and Sightseeing.
After breakfast at Tatopani, we will get back on our way to the lake city of Pokhara. We will enjoy and visit the amusing places in Pokhara. We will darshan the Taal Barahi Temple by boating on the Phewa Lake, visit David’s falls and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu via Manakamana Temple.
We will head to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu today. After driving for 2/3 hours we will reach at the temple of Manakamana. We will take a short 15 minutes Cable Car ride to the temple, offer our prayers and puja, and enjoy our lunch in the temple premises. We will then get back to our drive to Kathmandu. Check into hotel and overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 7: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will start the sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will be visiting the Jalnarayan Temple, Gujeshwori Shaktipeeth and Pashupatinath Temple. Get back to hotel and rest for the day. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 8:Drive to Gorakhpur and Departure
We will drive to Gorakhpur after breakfast and continue our journey back to home.
